This article helps you starting planning for your upgrade to FlexNet Manager Suite 2017 R2 is available you need to start planning.


Now that FlexNet Manager Suite 2017 R2 is available you need to start planning, if you haven?t already, upgrades to the following:
  • Beacon
  • Devices with the Inventory Agent installed ? ask if you would like these to auto-update
  • Devices with the Inventory Scanner installed


Even if you have already completed the Beacon, Inventory Agent and Inventory Scanner updates you?ll want to review the release notes to see the new features available and changes from previous releases in FNMS 2017 R2. This is available in the Knowledge Base area of the Customer Community:

  • New Analytics for cloud customers
  • Support for IPv6 networks
  • New registry settings for configuring discovery from inventory beacons

  • Improved inventory record deletion

  • Deprecated registry setting for inventory beacons
  • Additional application lifecycle dates
