Hi,
We have a selection of Flexera products including SVM, InstallShield, Technopedia and a version of FNMS. Can any of these systems provide guidance on whether the apps in our environment are Windows 11 compatible?
Thanks,
Nic

Hi @NicOla ,
I can only comment on SVM and InstallShield.
Neither of these tools can report on Windows 11 readiness.
However, you can ask in the FNMS forum whether a "report" can be created that will filter on the hardware requirements for Windows 11.

I have searched the Forum and Knowledge Base for any readiness articles. I could not find any. However, there is no harm in asking.
Furthermore, as an alternative, Microsoft offers some guidance on their tech community here:
Please let me know if you have any questions or need further assistance.

Hi @NicOla -
Technopedia had Windows compatibility data for Windows 7 and 10, as vendors would make that data available for Flexera to include and it was important for organizations to make decisions about OS rollouts with that data. However, with Microsoft refining their process around OS updates and making less changes that affect application compatibility to Windows, Windows 11 compatibility is not something that's many organizations have needed to investigate. If you're on Windows 10, Microsoft says, than moving to Windows 11 should be no different from an application support prospective.
Our AdminStudio solution has been offering OS Compatibility testing for Windows since the Windows 7 launch and supports up to Windows 11 23H2 at the time of this posting. We have a service pack planned for the end of the year, where we'll add 24H2 support. More info about Windows compatibility testing in AdminStudio as of now is found in the product documentation and detail on what tests AdminStudio runs can be found here. Note that this testing looks at the installation package to help determine compatibility, so it can be run as part of the preparation of new and updated application packages prior to deployment. It does not scan your environment and determine compatibility on already-deployed applications.
I hope that helps further clarify Flexera's offerings.
