Application consumption using one-off inventory templates

Dear Community,

Since certain licenses are defined as a custom metric, they require regular license consumption adjustment.

So far we have done it manually, however, we recently discovered a possibility to do it through one-off inventory input.

Which inventory template do you suggest in order to adjust our license consumption? Which fields are mandatory in a template?

@bnikol - The Inventory Templates only impact Inventory, they would not be able to set the "Consumption" value for a Custom Metric license.

There is a known limitation with a Business Adapter where the Consumption field cannot be set for a Custom Metric license.  However, if you have FNMS On-Premises, the Consumption could be set by using native SQL scripts within the Business Adapter.

Hi! We are cloud base and need to create a consumption adapter for some of our software that requires manual count. Example SaaS can we build a business adapter or would we have to put in a request to use Flexera build it for us?

For SaaS applications you may want to investigate Flexera SaaS Manager as an alternative solution that is integrated with FlexNet Manager Cloud and for instance imports the relevant consumption data.
