If a Citrix environment is set up for end users to remotely access a Citrix Virtual Desktop including MS AppV sessions to stream specific Applications, according to the FNMS Online Help this would result in FNMS creating "remote devices" for every user accessing a virtual desktop (provided the Citrix environment is correctly connected to FNMS). Is that correct?
Are those "remote devices" user based or on which Indications are they created? And do those "remote devices" require additional FNMS device Licences? Or are there other additional FNMS licence requirements that need to be considered when connecting a Citrix landscape, apart from the FNMS server licences for the Citrix servers themselves of course.
Thank you in advance.

@MGrigorean - A "remote device" will be created for each VDI "gold image" that a user has access to. Remove devices do not count against your FlexNet Manager license.
At a high level:
1) You will need to inventory each "gold image" with the agent. Each of these inventory scans do count towards your FlexNet License
2) FlexNet than connects to your Citrix XenDesktop/Virtual Desktop environment to get the list of Users and which Gold Images that they have access to. This creates a "Remote Device" as part of the user's inventory and on that remote device are the software applications in that image, as inventoried previously by the agent.
Since FlexNet knows what software is installed on each gold image, it is able to calculate what applications on the Gold Image that the user needs a license for.
