FNMS 2020 R2 - Configurable Management Dashboard Inquiry

Hi Flexera Community,

We have recently upgraded to the current release (2020 R2) of FNMS in our LAB instance and I am trying to find out where is the button that allows us to create a customized Management Dashboard Template?

You will need to ensure that your account has the proper access right assigned to see that button. Creating a dashboard template requires a role with the access right 'Configure FlexNet Manager Platform properties' (located under the Administration section of when editing a role on the Accounts > Roles page). Once you have that permission, you should be able to see the "Manage Dashboard Templates" button on your Management Dashboard.

The account I am currently using is assigned the "Administrator" role.

perhaps you can provide a screenshot of the Management Dashboard with the "Manage Dashboard Templates" button?

Unfortunately I have no buttons, so I afraid we need to check the requirements.

That was the reason for my question in this:

Btw, we have done it with the role 'admin'

I do not see those three buttons anywhere on the Management Dashboard View.

Do you have FlexNet Analytics installed? I believe the Cognos server used by FlexNet Analytics is a pre-requisite for the customisable FNMS dashboards in on-prem deployments.

I checked with the team responsible for the configurable dashboard feature and in order to use it you will need have Flexera Analytics setup in your environment. Here is a link to the instructions for installing Flexera Analytics (https://docs.flexera.com/FlexNetManagerSuite2020R1/EN/WebHelp/PDF%20Documents/On-Prem/Installing%20FNMS%202020%20R1%20on%20Premises.pdf#page=55) and I have put in a request to have this requirement noted in the documentation.
