Dear Members,

 

Did any one try adding multiple nics to SVM? Do you have procedure for Ubuntu based VM to have multiple NICs?

Hi Fawad, 

Yes, you can add multiple NIC adapters to you SVM Virtual Appliance. Please follow the below steps. 

  • Go to your Hyper V Manager and turn off the SVM virtual appliance.
  • Right-click on the SVM virtual appliance and click settings.
  • Click on the Add hardware tab and select Network Adapter and press Add.

  • Specify the Configuration of Network Adapter.

  • Turn on your SVM Virtual Appliance.
  • Run the following command 'lshw -class network -short' to verify the Network Adapters.

How about configuration of second adaptor IP as there would not be any UI for that like what we have for normal NIC.
