Visio for 365 16.0 - Application Recognized

We recently came across installed commercial application by name "Visio for 365 16.0" in FNMS and corresponding evidence is "Microsoft Visio - en-us" (check screenshot, most of the devices have "Uninstall" evidence type), but we could not identify the exact product deployed as there is no edition or version information.

Also Microsoft has Visio Pro, Visio Standard, Visio Plan 1 and Visio Plan 2 products, here in this case we are unable to understand if "Visio for 365 16.0" is part of Office 365  since Office 365 includes "Visio for web" component in it, but Visio products are always purchased separately as it do not come within Office 365 or Microsoft 365 plans.

Could you please investigate what exact product is this? Below is the link provided in FNMS page.

Hello,

Microsoft is no helping a lot on the latest versions of Project or Visio, delivered with the M365 subscriptions as the add / remove program don't include editions.

What I am not 100% sure is in which situations the local installation will be "Visio" (without edition).

Reading the document below, I see Visio Plan 1 is Visio Web that I don't expect to leave any installer evidence. Then, you have the non-subscription versions that are the classical "on prem" versions, Standard or Professional... Finally, I see the Visio Plan 2 that seems to installable on your computer but that does not show any edition... wouldn't be these Vision For 365 16 not be installations of visio plan 2.

Best regards,

Nicolas

Thank you, I just went through all the posts in the provided link and understood what went wrong. In our case, we had two licenses created - Visio Pro and Standard, then applications Visio Pro and standard (different versions) were linked to respective licenses. Due to ARL update/change performed by Flexera, a new application "Visio for 365 16.0" was created in Feb/Mar and mapped to existing Visio evidences (different versions). This reduced the consumption of existing Visio Standard and Professional applications and licenses. Also reported "Visio for 365 16.0" application as unlicensed.

Now I am unable to understand should I link "Visio for 365 16.0" application to Visio Standard or Visio Professional License and which version?
