Dear Community, Is anybody currently scanning the appliance having Sunbird Power IQ? If yes, what inventory method is being used? Background - we have the FlexNet Manager cloud and wanted to have an agent on the appliance. But Sunbird responded saying they cannot provide root access to run anything on there. Any direction here would be much appreciated!

Hi,
Producers of appliances in general and especially anything security related, won't allow a third party agent on their devices.
Depending on your actual use case, you could:
- completely ignore these devices (assuming they're not interfering with any licensing), or
- inventory them manually (if it's not too many of them), or
- maybe import some base data (name, IP, etc.) from a CMDB. This is assuming you need to account for these applicances even if you don't know what's installed on them.
Best regards,
Markward

Thank you, @mfranz .
Manual upload is something I will try as it's just one device.
