Patch won't apply

I am using AdminStudio 3.5 (Developer 7.04). I have created a package (repackaged) and an upgrade package (repackaged). When I run the full upgrade package it updates the original just fine.

I generated patch between the two packages with no errors. The patch applies fine to an admin share - but will not apply to an installed copy of the original package.

I am getting the following error in the log that notes that the "stream" InstallExecuteSequence is missing :

Action ended 5:37:11: InstallFinalize. Return value 1.
MSI (s) (E8:28): Transforming table InstallExecuteSequence.
MSI (s) (E8:28): Transforming table InstallExecuteSequence.
MSI (s) (E8:28): Note: 1: 2262 2: InstallExecuteSequence 3: -2147287038
Action ended 5:37:11: INSTALL. Return value 1.

By looking at the information provided here, it may be difficult to find the problem in the patch. You may want to contact InstallShield Support team and send your original package & Patch for troubleshooting.

You may also want to use Developer 8 which is shipped as part of AdminStudio 5. We have added more support for creating patches in Developer 8.
