Security Hotfix for Legacy AdminStudio Version

TippingPoint identified a security flaw that shipped with Flexera's AdminStudio products. In response to this, Flexera has issued a security patch to correct the issue in the following versions of the products

TippingPoint identified a security issue that shipped with Flexera?s AdminStudio products. In response to this, Flexera has issued security patches to correct issue.

Resolution

Patch 1
This patch only applies to the version below. The issue is fixed in later versions of AdminStudio.

• AdminStudio 9.0
• AdminStudio 9.5
• AdminStudio 10.0
• AdminStudio Limited Editions

Patch 2
This patch only applies to the versions below. The issue is fixed in later versions of AdminStudio.

• AdminStudio 11.x through 5.5?Enterprise, Standard, and Limited editions

To apply the fix, download the Q211530 patch and run it on the machine that has one or more of the aforementioned product versions.

To run the patch installation silently:

1. Download the Q211530 patch to a temporary folder on the machine on which you want to apply the fix.
2. Download the IS-AS-SecurityPatchQ211530.zip file, extract the IS-AS-SecurityPatchQ211530.iss file from the .zip file, and place the IS-AS-SecurityPatchQ211530.iss file in the same folder as the Q211530 patch file.
3. Open a Command Prompt window. If your machine has Windows Vista or later, the Command Prompt window must be launched with elevated privileges. (To do so, right-click the shortcut for the Command Prompt window, and then click Run as administrator.)
4. Run the following command:
   "C:\Path\IS-AS-SecurityPatchQ211530.exe" /s /f1"C:\Path\IS-AS-SecurityPatchQ211530.iss"
   where the path (C:\Path\) is replaced with the appropriate location.

When the patch is run, it will correct all of the identified security flaws in each of the above products that are installed on the machine. The patch replaces the ISProxy.dll file in the following location:

Program Files Folder\Common Files\InstallShield

The version of the new replacement file is 20.0.0.278.
