SQL Database Encryption will impact FNMS Operation ?

Dears

If SQL databases are needs to encrypted for security needs , will that effect the FNMS operation ?

This may also include the Business Adapter Operation as well.

Hi,

If it's only the database files being encrypted on the file system (Transparent Data Encryption), and the actual application not being part of this, you should be fine.

Best regards,

As long as the encryption is performed in a way that is transparent to the FlexNet Manager Suite application, this shouldn't cause a functional issue.

I have heard anecdotal stories of encryption technologies slowing down data access (for example, see here), which will obviously have a consequent performance impact on any systems accessing the database.
