Good morning,
When a large company has purchased software licenses with different rights per location from its subsidiaries or child companies, does anybody know if there a way for the risk to be reflected in the Dashboard associated within the locations tree?
I have seen that the risk at the localization level can be seen if each of the configured licenses is accessed, but this risk is not seen "quickly" in the FNMS Dashboard.
Thank you in advance.

Hi,
While the idea would be tempting, it might not scale too well. Problem is that FNMS generally goes for a global pooling approach and when you have negative compliance within a license, you cannot tell who would bear the financial risk of this shortfall.
Sure, within a license there is "Group Assignment", but if this is not set up (or if there are gaps), the above is still true.
An alternative would be to create dedicated licenses (see Restrictions) for subsidiaries or child companies. Please be aware that Restrictions do not work for all license types.
Best regards,

Hi Franz,
We had already chosen to check the compliance status for each license through the Group assignment tab, but we wanted to make sure there was not an alternative way to get a differentiated consumption in the License Summary dashboard.
We will consider the option of creating licenses with restrictions, as long as the type of license allows it.
Additionally, another point you may be able to help us with is the following:
We are trying to create a single report in which we are able to see:
1. Information of the number of licenses acquired by the different group companies.
2. Information on the consumption that the group's companies would be making of each license, based on their location at a 2nd level.
2. The 2nd level location associated to the consumption made by each company.
We can't get this report to correctly reflect where each of the affiliates/companies is located. Do you know if there is a way of extracting this information in a single report?
Thank you very much for help Franz.
Best regards,

Hi,
We will try to find the way to get to see the licenses linked to their specific purchases by subsidiary following your tips.
Thank you very much for your help Franz.
Sorry for the delay in my response.
Best regards,
Itziar
