The documentation states that for best performance we should have no more than 10,000 devices per beacon. Does this depend on beacon hardware or purely network related? For example. If beacon is running with two Xeon processors at 2.6 GHz, would that be able to process more than 10,000 devices?
From documentation: (https://docs.flexera.com/flexera/EN/ITAssets/NumberOfInvBeacons.htm)
For good performance, limit each beacon to about 10,000 devices that it will inventory directly or through the installed Inventory Agent. (This limit does not apply to inventory collected from third-party systems.)
Manage this load by assigning individual subnets to each inventory beacon through the settings in the compliance browser.

@kevin_christens - The 10K is a "guideline". I have seen the recommended limit anywhere between 10K and 15K devices. The bottleneck is in processing each NDI file to compress and encrypt it and then create a package to upload to the internet via HTTPS/TLS.
A primary variable is whether the agents have been configured to capture File Evidence. If no File Evidence is being captured, the beacon threshold goes up as the size of each NDI file is smaller.
If you are capturing File Evidence then the second variable is the act that NDI files for a Server will be much larger than an NDI file for a Desktop, due to the volume of File Evidence.
