Happy 2022, Data Platform customers!

As many of you have seen in this previous blog post, we released the patch release 5.5.48 earlier (it was made available as of December 27, 2021) to address the vulnerabilities associated with log4j. This latest patch release contains the latest version of log4j (2.17.0) which is not exposed to currently disclosed vulnerabilities.

This patch also contains a few notable new features and other bug fixes:

  • Enhanced Platform Types Identification
Customers can see "platform types" (e.g., "Desktop", "Server", "Mobile", etc.) of the applications, depending on which operating system(s) they're compatible with
  • Enhanced ARL-Technopedia "crosswalk" capabilities
Our FlexNet Manager customers can see the corresponding ARL titles with each Technopedia titles that they have, powered by the ARL-Technopedia crosswalk that our Content team has diligently maintained
  • Support for Windows Server 2022
Data Platform (both Admin Console and User Console) has been tested to work with Windows Server 2022
