The latest monthly patch for Data Platform 2024, 5.5.74, has now been made available as of May 31, 2024.

 New Features and Enhancements

  • Improved processing of certain types of data sources concurrently which accelerates the data processing, specifically in the import and mapping phases, for large inventories consisting of multiple processes.
  • Added a new command-line argument SHOWCATALOGVERSION to the Normalize command-line utility (NormalizeCMD.exe) to show the current Technopedia Catalog version.
  • Reduced the volume of warning messages related to fields that fail validation during ingestion to up to 6 messages per field and summarizing the excess messages.
  • Enhanced port discovery/management in the User Console’s Configuration Wizard. The User Console now automatically chooses a different port for PostgreSQL when a port conflict is detected.
  • Replaced 7-Zip libraries and components to streamline compression/decompression routines. 7za has been replaced with FlexZip for general-purpose extraction that needs to occur outside of the application.
  • Released a new Migration Wizard which is compatible with all versions of Data Platform and User Console. For details, refer to the BDNA Normalize Migration Wizard Process section in the Data Platform Installation Guide.

    Resolved Issues

  • Fixed the issue of groups sometimes getting displayed as users when sharing reports in the User Console configured with SAML authentication.
