Using Regex or Wildcards in Search Value for Order# in My Requests

Is there a way to use fuzzy searching on Order# in the My Requests tab? Currently we are having to know the full order# to search for a specific order. I tried using SQL wildcards but was unsuccessful. Is there a backend setting that can be applied to make this possible?

Under Site Management > Settings > Web Site > Catalog Behavior, check the box called "Allow users to do a search on partial Order #".
