Did you mean:

special Systemfolder on destination computer

I still have a problem with a repackaged Setup of the new Firefox 2.0.7 Browser

The MSI will be installed correctly on the client (via our SW Distribution)
but the folder "mozilla\firefox\profiles\defaultuserprofile" won't be created in the following path

c:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Benutzername\Anwendungsdaten

in english:

c:\Documents and Settings\Username\ApplicationData

and therefore Firefox doesn't load our firm specific settings like the Startpage and the Proxy Config and so on...

I tried also a custom action "EXE -- >New EXE --> Path referencing to a directory"
(see screenshot attached)
but this dosen't help

So now for me its not clear, why this dosen't work

One general question:

where in the files\Folder Propertys within the MSI Package can i find the path mentioned above?

LocalAppData or AppDataFolder or...?

many thanks for your help

Attached you'll find my actual configuration of the msi package

You can use the AppDataFolder, I would create a component containing all the user settings in give it a HKCU keypath and your app will repair and add the settings into the users profile.

This may be of help.. http://www.appdeploy.com/packages/detail.asp?id=873

After a googled a litte bit i saw the following url:

http://www.frontmotion.com/Firefox/ sounds very interesting:

I downloaded the new Version 2.0.0.9 and merged our firm specific prefs.js into the package and voilà it works... the world is sometimes so easy
🙂

I think this MSI Package is the first i saw ever for Mozilla....

Maybe this coud be also very interesting for other people with the same problem
