Removing registry value

How does one remove one of the registry values in the registry key without removing the other value in the same key?

I have captured an install and successfully packaged it into an msi. However, using that msi to install also installs the unwanted registry value, therefore preventing the product to work. Yet, when I open that same msi using DevStdio, that unwanted value is clearly not in the key for the destination computer (only the correct value is present)...

Well it *must* be in the MSI somewhere. Do a search in the registry table using the direct editor and drop it from there.

My guess is you are looking at a particular component view of the registry rather than the whole registry.
