Hi All,
Does anyone know of a white paper about setting elevated install privileges for non admin users during an install?
I have read a number of threads and knowledge base articles on how to do this and, to be honest, there seems to be a whole lot of confusion out there about this subject. It would be nice to get a definitive answer.
In short I would like to:
1, Elevate a non admin users privileges to enable information to be written to the registry via custom actions.
2, Write file information to restricted areas to the disk.
Please could somebody help me before I lose any more hair.
