I need to try and create a shortcut folder (Start manu, Programs,MYFOLDER) that is all capitals. I've tried making the entry in the directory table all capitals but NT converts this to lower case and the best I've achieved so far is a capital first letter.

Can you post the entries that you created in the Directory table?

Is it your intention to make the destination folder appear in capital letters? If so, you can try the following:

Directory Directory_Parent DefaultDir
MyFolder ProgramMenuFolder MYFOLDER

As you notice making the DefaultDir column all capitals is important, since this is the value that is used to create the destination folder.

Let me know if this solves your problem.

The line I had in the msi is
Directory Directory_Parent DefaultDir
PM_Icon ProgramMenuFolder DFG

Even though the defaultdir is all upper case the install dropes it to lower case. If the DefaultDir value is mixed case then the case is preserved. I've checked the MSI rather than the ISM to make sure that Installshield wasen't having a hand in it.

Any more suggestions to try?

Thanks
