Passing default install location to setup.exe

Guys,
Now problem is that I want to pass a installation location from commandline, because for users which will use it silent mode it will be good option and in certain automated mode even when UI comes this is gona rock.

Now issues I have,
Can it be done by making any changes in code which generates setup.exe?
Can't we pass argument to msi and he go and edit those darn tables or do anything but use the locations which I say from command line?
