Application Catalog will no longer allow me to do anything in the test center. The second I click any button within that that the application crashes. This just recently occurred on Friday prior to this I was able to use it freely.

Any ideas?

It has occurred to me as well. I was importing an AppV 5 product to Application Manager and it crashed in between and stopped working ever since. Finally I restored the App Catalog database to a previous date and it started working. No idea on the root cause though.

In the Event Viewer, nearby the AdminStudio exception, there may be a .Net error. Can you pass us the text of this .Net error?

Thanks!

Hi,

Make sure that your database was created with the scripts listed here --> http://helpnet.flexerasoftware.com/adminstudio115sp2/adminstudio_CSH.htm#ashelplibrary/ASIDETaskCreateUsingScripts.htm. I feel that the database is missing some tables.

Thanks!

Hi,

I followed the procedure at the link provided, and it did seem to improve things, but after importing more apps, Application Manager crashed again and again.

The two module faults shown in the event log are:

Faulting application name: ISCMIDE.exe, version: 11.5.0.542, time stamp: 0x5112447e
Faulting module name: ISUIConflictServices9.dll, version: 11.5.0.542, time stamp: 0x51125082

The .NET error is:

Application: ISCMIDE.exe

The OS is Windows 7 Enterprise x64, with a database running on a 2008R2 server, running SQL 2012. The import is being done from SCCM 2012, using the import wizard.

Any assistance would be appreciated?

Thanks

Hi Jamie,

I will suggest upgrading to AS 2013 and try the import from SCCM again.

Thanks!

Is there some fundamental thing we can do to avoid the error? I keep building new databases with AS2013, the application manager works and then crashes on us. Building new DB's can't be the answer as I have to configure WorkflowManager and Admin Studio enterprise afresh each time as most Flexera products work best with an integrated database.

Importing applications in a fresh db works fine. All other functionality including fixing run fine. That is until you get the the first crash, after the first appearance of the error will always appear. With one exception: importing applications is the only thing that keeps working in Application manager.

It's not in the DB Collation Settings, although we can steadily reproduce the error if you create a DB with AS2013 on SQL 2008R2 with a wrong collation setting. Admin Studio shows successful creation of the DB in the screen output even though the output for sql scripts clearly state that there are errors when you run them in SQL Server Management Studio.

Hi ErwinV,

We will need to know more about the crash behavior. Can you let us know when do you see the crash happening, as well as enable the logging to highest level - http://helpnet.flexerasoftware.com/adminstudio2013/adminstudio_CSH.htm#ashelplibrary/ASIDETaskDebugLog.htm. Then send us the log files from the ConflictSolver folder (ISCMIDE.log, AdminStudioHost.log, AdminStudio.log).

Thanks!

Hi Alpesh, I am having the same problem as ErwinV. The Errors in EventViewer appear exactly as posted in the thread. I have turned on debugging to the Highest level and have the log files from when it crashes which for me is Everytime I select an application from the Product List. I will PM the logs to you now.

thanks,

Mike

Any movement on this, I had a ticket with flexera opened on this and uploaded my 2013 vrs of my customers database. Then Flexera requested I send the previous version of the database. Needless to say, i'm not uploading everyone's databases and the ticket got dropped. I'm seeing the Application manager crash when trying to access any application info for AppV, EXE's and Thin app.

Hi,

Please enable the logging to 5 as discussed here --> http://helpnet.flexerasoftware.com/adminstudio2013/adminstudio_CSH.htm#ashelplibrary/ASIDETaskDebugLog.htm. Then restart AdminStudio, AdminStudioHost process and send us the AdminStudioHost.log and ISCMIDE.log from the \ConflictSolver folder.

Thanks!
