Localized files are now being delivered even though the condition for the feature does not match the language of the machine. Our Chinese runtime files are being delivered and the Arabic files are being delivered to the same location. The machine that the product is being installed on is English. The features that deliver the Chinese and Arabic files test the UserLanguageID against the codes for Chinese and Arabic. It is as if the conditions are always evaluating to True and the files are always delivered. We have isolated the problem to builds after December 2019. Before that we never had this problem. Neither the product .ism file nor the .dim files that contain the localized files have changed. We were wondering if some Windows Update may be causing a problem. Has anyone else seen something similar?

the property set in UI sequence will not be passed onto exec sequence. Use SecuredCustomProperty to get the value moved from UI to Exec Sequence.

OK, now I have resolved this. I was having trouble downloading merge modules so I copied the IS 11.5 version to IS 2008. This was a mistake. I was finally able to download the files directly from http://www.macrovision.com/downloads.htm. Now that I have the IS 2008 version of this merge module I no longer see those annoying dialogs.

I'm not sure why you are getting that error. Obviously, your internet connection works or else you wouldn't be able to post here. You can however download the full "InstallShield 2008 MSI Objects" file from the downloads site, http://www.macrovision.com/downloads.htm. This includes the MDAC objects.

InstallShield 10.5 and 11 introduced the integration of FLEXnet Activation technologies and InstallShield. We prioritized this first based upon customer feedback. I would like to hear your needs/opportunity about FLEXnet Publisher licensing integration.
