Will retiring a Flexera One "IBM PVU" license stop future scanning's of the PVUs for that software?

@ttaccini - What is the "Target" rule that you have defined on your Inventory Settings Page for IBM frequent hardware scanning? Is it set to the default of "All devices consuming IBM PVU points"?
If yes, then verify your licenses where the product is installed and verify that the status of the license is set to RETIRED. This will ensure that no license consumption occurs for this license and no devices will be linked to the license and will then be part of the target for the frequent scanning.
Finally, go to the Consumption tab of your retired license and make sure that you do not have any servers "allocated" to the license. If they are allocated to your PVU license, they may be picked up as part of the generated targets for frequent scanning.

I don't think that I fully understand the use case behind your question, you may want to elaborate a bit further on the scenario for the forum members to be able to respond.
Thanks,

Thank you for the feedback John.
We have "cautious" teams that don't want systems being scanned in events where software is not installed, and the PVU software associated to one of the particular license in our environment has been completely removed and confirmed.
The team is requesting that the PVU software (associated with this application) be no longer scanned for, due to the frequency of the PVU scans.
There is understanding that the standard agent scan occur weekly in our environment, however the IBM PVU scans are more frequent.
So, the question is if the associated PVU license is "DISABLED" will the PVU scans still occur for the piece of software? Or will the frequent PVU scan continue as long as any piece of IBM PVU software is found on a system, whether their is a license set for that piece of software or not.
Thanks for your help!
