User License Details Report - User Name Inquiry

Does anyone happen to know why the "User Name" value would be completely different from either the "Calculated User" or "Assigned User" in this report?

i.e

Computer ID - TESTDEVICE9921
User Name - ABCD123
Calculated User - EFGH345
Assigned User - EFGH345

One possibility would be that some usage data has been imported that shows the user ABCD123 has used the licensed software on the device TESTDEVICE9921. Usage data can be associated with a different user from the Calculated User or Assigned User fields on the inventory device.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the suggestion.

User Name "ABCD123" only performed the install of the commercial application.
The assigned user "EFGH345" is the "actual" account that should only show usage.

Is it possible to make that change using a Business Adapter?

A business adapter can be used to set the "Assigned user" field on an inventory device and asset records. Business adapters cannot be used to import usage or software evidence details - this type of data must come from inventory adapters.
