Activating Inventories from Ignored stated

Having trouble with some records that have been placed in an ignored state when trying to change status to "Active" again.  Can anyone think of a scenario that would cause this anomaly?  It's normally just a handful of devices that look "normal" but status will not change from Ignored to Active.  Wondering if there is some step we are missing in "reactivating".

Thanks

(1) Solution

This is most often due to the Inventory Record being related to an Asset record which is not set to Retired or Disposed. To ignore the Inventory in this scenario, update the related Asset record and the Inventory Record will be updated to Ignored. Make sure there isn't an automated process in place to Add\Update this record or an automated process will simply update it back - in which case you want to change the status at the source of that record.

I thought that might have something to do with it.  I'll review some of the records to verify.  Thank you for responding.
