Synopsis
The goal of this solution is to automate the allocation of unallocated devices according to IP address, Domain Name or computer name.
While this solution can apply to an on-premise FNMS instances, it brings a solution that opens a large number of applications for FNMS Cloud implementations (Automations, Advanced Reporting).
The approach is to set up a three steps integration
- Read the data in the Flexera One Cloud Instance using the GetCustomViewResult SOAP API.
- Process the data with advanced SQL logic in a local staging database
- Update Flexera One Cloud instance with a "classical" Business adapter from the beacon.
The attached Word document gives all the necessary steps and provided an end to end example for an automated allocation algorithm.
