Activate a new license for FlexNet Manager Suite

When you first purchase Flexnet Manager Suite, upgrade to a later version, or buy additional licenses, you must activate a new FlexNet Manager Suite license file.

To activate a new FlexNet Manager Suite license file:

1. Save a copy of your license in a convenient folder (such as your installation folder) where it is accessible for the installation process.
2. From the Windows Start menu, open the FlexNet Manager Suite Activation Wizard as an administrator on the Application Server. In a multiple server application implementation, choose the server that includes the batch server.
3. Import the FlexNet Manager Suite license file.
4. Open FlexNet Manager Suite.
5. To confirm that the updated license information was applied:
   1. Select FlexNet Manager Suite License from the system menu.

B. Verify that your subscription renewal date is updated.

What would be the impact on FlexNet Manager Suite if the license doesn't get renewed within time? Would it completely stop working?

@maheshpatil - access to the FlexNet Manager Suite web portal UI will not be possible with an expired license. Once a license is renewed, access to the UI will be possible again.

@ChrisG , thanks for your reply. So will this also stop all the FNMS processes like software reconciliation, agent reporting, etc?

@maheshpatil - many system processes will continue to run as normal even if the license key has expired. However you may find that some system processes will fail to run normally if a valid license is not found.
