Unable to start IBM cognos service.

Hi Team,

I after installation of cognos the IBM cognos service unable to start and showing the ERROR 1053.

Will you please guide me over this issue.

Hi @AditiA , 

Check if the Service account has the required rights to run the services. Try updating the user name and password for the service once again and restart the service.

Whatever you mentioned in your reply, I applied all of that, But I am still not able to start the service.

@AditiA Have you looked at the event viewer logs for errors? Have you looked at the Cognos logs? It is going to be challenging to help troubleshoot without more information. If you don't want to sanitize and post those logs to the forum I suggest opening a ticket with Flexera support to assist you.
