Hi,

I just updated a customer's SCCM reader to import BIOS UUID's from >80k devices. It was pretty straight forward, because a UUID field does already exist in the DB schema for both ImportedComputer & ComplianceComputer. Also, the Writer happily imports the data and even the built-in Reporting offers the UUID out of the box.

There's just no UUID field in the inventory itself. I can only assume that it used to be there and got removed. Did anyone successfully revive it? I wish I could avoid having to create a custom field and having to store the data twice.

Best regards,

Markward

I don't know of any way to get the built-in ComplianceComputer.UUID column shown in the properties of an inventory device record sorry. This value does appear to be to be available from the inventory device object in reports, but I couldn't find anywhere else that is it obviously exposed in the UI.
