Oracle remote inventory stopped working after upgrading to FNMS 2022R2 version


After upgrading to the FNMS 2022R2 version, Oracle Remote Inventory stopped working. There is no success message or failure logs as well. All it shows as Devices discovered: 0 Devices skipped: 0 Devices inventoried: 0 Devices failed to be inventoried: 0

so not sure what is failing. We are using the TNSNames file for Oracle inventory. What all settings need to be validated or what could be the cause?

Here are some ideas what you could check:

  • check the logs for your Oracle tasks (C:\ProgramData\Flexera Software\Compliance\Logging\InventoryRule) - both the inventory task and the TNSNames import task
  • your Discovered Devices, including database settings
  • your Beacons, Subnets and mapping between both
  • your Beacon Password Manager, accounts and filters
