Managesoft.com certificates

Hi,

A while ago, one of my customers followed a Google move to distrust Symantec and related certificate authorities for their issuance practices. That includd Thawthe certificates, which are still used for managesoft.com. Therefore the automatic library download fails, not being able to check the SSL certificate.

I believe, when this whole thing came up, the FNMS cloud certificates got changed.

Is anyone else having issues with this Thawte certificate?

Best regards,

Markward

I haven't heard of this one coming up before.

I note that the distrust mentioned in the article at https://www.thesslstore.com/blog/final-distrust-symantec-ssl-certificates/ only applies to certificates issued before December 1, 2017. The current certificate on managesoft.com is from August 2018, so is not subject to this particular distrust.

Hi Chris,

Thanks, that's a good point. From what I can tell, they removed pretty much all certificates from these issuers. I'll ask them to engange their security team about updates on this ban.

Best regards,
