Hi Forum,
Not sure if this question is to be asked to Flexera/Service Now.
We are pushing data from FNMS cloud to service now cloud and need few insights.
1. how the is the app used for integration published by flexera works at service now end.
2. We see that there is a new version of APP 5.0.225 published this May'20 and there are new transform maps added.
3. what extra data is populated in service Now CMDB because of the newly added features of FNMS 2020R1 or new transform maps populate.
Is there any info published by Flexera regarding the app and is it available in flexera portals? or is it only the serviceNow administrators using the app will get update info.
Appreciate your thoughts on this.
Regards,

Hello,
Thanks for your questions. With regard to the FNMS integration, the scoped app v5.0 has the exact same functionality as the previous version v4.1. What's new in 5.0 is the addition of the Flexera Data Platform integration. Users can use the app to integrate with their on-prem Data Platform to help aggregate and normalize data about your hardware and software so it’s clean, accurate, and complete. More details about the app can be found in this Data Platform Integration Guide.
Feel free to let us know if you have further questions.
Thank you!

hi @dleung ,
thanks for the inputs on this. we are trying to reschedule the data flow import to service now instead of the default export from FNMS at 2AM every sunday and is there any possibility to schedule this in the app settings. is it the app that is managing all these tasks i assume .
trying to understand what all tasks the app is managing and flow and more details as we are getting all these queries raised because of doing a data push to serviceNow and any settings which can be customized with in the app.
Thanks

winvarma,
In response to your question, "we are trying to reschedule the data flow import to service now instead of the default export from FNMS at 2AM every sunday and is there any possibility to schedule this in the app settings. is it the app that is managing all these tasks i assume .".
Tasks are still managed from FNMS, not in the app. Thus, changing the schedule to initiate the data flow from the ServiceNow will not feasible. ScopeApp facilitate exporting and importing of the data, but other than this function alone. Core intelligence and functionality still reside in the Flexera Application, in this case, FNMS.
Hope it helps,

hi ,
few more questions here related to the tables/Data pushed to service now via the integration. There are few products like Acrobat X which are of different editions where the flexera ID id different but as Flexera is sending the data as Product Name, version and it is not sending the edition because of which identifying the application by looking at the name is difficult for the users and it might look as a duplicate entry.
Instead of this can we make an enhancement from Flexera sending the Name and the Edition via the transform maps related to the installed software's so that this confusion can be avoided and get unique details of each application without referring to the Flexera ID.
Please help in checking if this can be enhanced and applied so that the Data Anomaly can be removed.
