Flexnet Agent compatibility

Hi,

We are planning to upgrade FNMEA (Core, Reporting) server to new server. Currently we have FNMEA 2019 R2 (15.10) and planning to upgrade to FNMEA 2022 R1 version. Team recommended  to upgrade agents to 5.10 and while checking supported platform in documentation it's showing Flexnet agent 5.10 is supported for 2016 and 2019 OS only. I would like to know Flexnet agent 5.10 is compatible to  2008 and 2012 OS ?

Hi @raviladhawala 

We would recommend upgrading agents to the latest version as 2022 R1 is running OpenJDK as is the latest agent versions, were as agents 5.7 or older run java so there can be room here for incompatibility. However for the supported agents in FNMEA 2022 R1 agents 5.3 and newer should be supported by the manager however we recommend to not go older than agent version 5.5 due to features added over time that may not be fully compatible with older versions.

Regarding OS support the newest agent for Windows Server 2012 would be Agent 5.8 which is the first version to use OpenJDK and for Server 2008 is Agent 5.3.3, please see the link below for which version relates to which release to get the correct download.
