Has anyone experienced an issue where ESX servers are reporting as an IP e.g. 10-144-*.* instead of the name itself. If so what was done to resolve this issue.

The symptoms your describing look similar to the ones described in vCenter installed on IP and not FQDN but that should have been fixed. Which FNMS version are you running?

We are running FNMS 2023 R2

I would recommend to contact Flexera Support then as I think it's a different issue in your environment.
