Hi,

I have FNMS set up on a DEV environment. The FNMS server has access to internet but the automated job to downloaded the libraries files create an Unauthorized error. I am able to downloaded  the files through the web browser . Services are all running under the service account the same I log on the server.

What else does not have enough access?

Downloading (using WebDownloader) https://www.managesoft.com/support/Compliance/RecognitionAfter82.cab
2022-03-16 01:00:20,451 [onImport.ContentImport] [WARN ] RecognitionAfter82.cab download attempt 1 of 5 failed with System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.

Thank you

@JeanRM - Is this server going through a Proxy Server to get to the internet?  In that case, it may be that your Proxy Server is blocking the direct connection.  When you access the URL through a browser, you are going through the proxy based on your current logon account.

Adding to what Kirk's said here, if you do have a proxy defined in Internet Explorer's
Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings
options, you can specify the proxy information manually for the ARL download, as follows:

https://community.flexera.com/t5/FlexNet-Manager-Knowledge-Base/Configure-ARL-import-to-use-proxy-server-without-using-Internet/ta-p/5237

I hope that helps!
Best,
Jack

Thank you for your tips, I will verify that but I also find out a problem with the Digital signature of of the files downloaded.

Hi Jean, I hope you're well?

Are you encountering something similar to the following?
https://community.flexera.com/t5/FlexNet-Manager-Forum/content-libraries-not-getting-updated-due-to-Digital-signature/td-p/175550

If so, could you ensure the relevant Root Certificate is in place, as follows?

https://community.flexera.com/t5/FlexNet-Manager-Knowledge-Base/Digital-signature-upgrade-for-loading-library-CAB-files/ta-p/1977

Kind regards and thanks,

Jack

We have offline networks that require manual download and ingest.  This link is the process from where we grab the libraries:

https://community.flexera.com/t5/FlexNet-Manager-Knowledge-Base/How-to-manually-download-FlexNet-Manager-Suite-On-premises/ta-p/5313

As for the certificates....definitely need the root and intermediate for both the Signing Certificate, as well as the counter-signature certificate.  WIthout those...it will not import.

The certificate is fix but now I receive this message

[.RecognitionImportTool] [ERROR] Could not import C:\ProgramData\Flexera Software\FlexNet Manager Platform\DataImport\Content\ARL\.temp-extract

[.RecognitionImportTool] [ERROR] Error occurred when running the command to execute the population script

There SQL scripts in all folders, would you know what can be wrong now? Thank you

I expect you're seeing that error in the mgsImportRecognition.log file, which indicates that the process to update the ARL failed.

You may find a more specific error from the ARL update process itself which will help you to understand what has gone on here if you look in the recognition.log file instead.
