I want to ad a rule in a .mst which asks me for insert a value that will be put in a registrykey...

That value is something that depends where the program will be installed, example an IP adres...

Why don't you pass the value commandline?

It will not be easy to add a dialog using a transform, I don't think any tool in Adminstudio can do that. The easiest way will be to create an extra control on one of the existing dialogs.

If you can write a little Windows application in VB or some other language (Java, VC++, etc.) you could easily do this, just bring up a dialog asking for the reg key value, then execute your MST file.
