datastore.edb error

everytime I try and repackage a app I get an error
"error copying file : c:\packages\windowsfolder\softwaredistribution\datastore\datastore.edb

has anyone seen this??

Yes while capturing some imaging software that required the computer to be restarted. According to the following MS KB Article http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=870904 ... "It is used by the Microsoft Software Update Services (SUS) 2.0 version of the Automatic Updates service is opened exclusively by the operating system. This folder was added in windows xp sp2."

Try to stop Windows Update Service (Automatic Updates) before packaging an msi. I found out that msi creation will get several errors if SMS (Microsoft System Management Server) and WUS services are running.

try using install monitor.

Either way, it is junk and should be removed from your package

i'm installing one packaging in my machine.

i'm getting error as "datastore.edb can't be installed."

can any body give the solution.what is the problem.

first time packaging is instaleld properly.

i removed the packaging. again i'm installing.so that time i'm getting this problem.
