"Expected one or three server lines" error when importing license file to license server

If you're using the Flexnet Licensing Server, you may encounter this error when importing the license through the web admin page: Expected one or three server lines.

Solution

  1. Open the .lic file you're attempting to upload in a text editor like Microsoft Notepad.
  2. Insert the following text as the first line:
    SERVER this_host ANY
  3. Save and import again.
