cannot copy source error -1007 UserProfile/USERPROFILE

Hi there,

I'm trying to convert a packaged application to an MSI.

When I do I receive an error Conversion stopped with 1 error.

The error is -1007 Cannot copy source

o:\packages\callpilot201\USERPROFILE\callpilot.cpa to target

o:\packages\callpilot201\UserProfile\callpilot.cpa

This is not surprising since they are the same location.

Note other folders use quite distinct names for the conversion.

For example the program files folder uses:

Repackaged application...PROGRAMFILESFOLDER
Converted to msi...program files


Is this a bug with this software?

Thank you for your question regarding error -1007. If the file is in the correct location, then the issue might be the status of the file, if it was read only, for example, or if another application was using that file.

If you hit Search on the menu bar here in the InstallShield forums, and search on error 1007, it'll give you some ideas to try out. If that still isn't helpful then please let us know.
