We are looking at MSI creation software (such as AdminStudio), but want to know what can be included in MST files?
Can you and serial # and other user input items?
What we are wanting to do is automate AutoDesk Autocad software installs. We can use a batch file with command lines to includethe CD key, serial and serveral other things, but does not work well for locked down USERS on win2k.
We also use Novell ZenWorks to install apps but the command line (for AutoCad) is sooo long that it will not fit in the box it should go in. It wlways get truncated.
Yes, a transform can contain any number of Windows Installer property names (and values); and typically user-input values (such as a user name, company name, serial number, and installation directory) are stored in these properties.
