Per user vs per machine

Hey guys,

New to the forum, I hope this is in the right spot. We have admin studio 9 and installshield 2009.

I have an msi, that has been created for per user, i need to change it to per machine. Can anyone help me out with that? With detailed steps, just got the software and don't know too much about it.

Hi Ryan,

Not sure how the *.MSI is set up, but it might be as simple as adding the ALLUSERS property with a value of 1 to the Property table.

This changes what some registry values get written to, as well as how certain directory tables resolve. So, it might not work 100% in your case, but it's the best first step to take.
