Packaging IE 6.0

Hi,
Has anyone packaged Internet Explorer 6. I've received a setup file for IE which connects to the web and downloads the files and then installs IE 6. The downloaded files include ie6setup and cab files BRANDING, IEEXINST, SCRIPTEN, MPLAY2U and dat file filelist, DIR file iesetup and ini file iesetup. I think the files downloaded depends on the Desktop IE at that particular time since this installation baxically does the update to the existing IE. WHile capturing using repackager of Iinstallshied Adminstudio 5.5 professional all the files are not getting captured. Infact I don't think all the IE files in the exisiting system are getting replaced. Teh client needs this because his IE oftens gets corrupted.

I don't believe IE should be repackaged. Instead, IEAK should be used.

It is an MSI wrapper for IE6 from Microsoft. You can use IEAK to create your IE6 package and then us this Microsoft tool to distribute it.

since i can download IE6 from installshield as a prequisites.
can i put it in my cd and redistribute it?
if i can't do this, why installshield put it into the prequisites?
