Hi,
Can anyone tell me any real differences with regards packaging of apps for Windows XP as opposed to other Windows O/S's (specifically Windows 2000 Pro).
I know about the ability to isolate apps in XP using a .manifest file but would be interested in any other areas that I've missed.

Thanks!!

There aren't many real differences regarding your scripts. The OS differences (like the one listed) need to be considered during your testing. I have scripted over 200 applications for both platforms and as long as I adhered to InstallShield best practices I never found a real difference. I have had developers hardcode C:\Winnt in to their code and the XP/2000 pops out real quick. : )
