ACT60 install renders "Add & Remove Programs" unusable

I just installed ACT 6.0 from a packaged installation with Admin Studio 5.5. I could NOT uninstall it. Furthermore I could NOT uninstall any programs. The "Add & Remove Programs" window would not display anything. In fact none of the options in this window were accessible anymore.

I finally installed ACT 6.0 from the original media over the top of the packaged installation and I was finally able to get the uninstalls working again.

Now, I am at a loss on how to stop this from happening so I can deploy this package. The program seems to work fine other than what happened above.

Any Ideas?

Acrobat 6 comes as an MSI so I wouldn't repackage it.
You could create a transform using tuner (there is even a free version for acrobat only).

Sorry, no idea about the ACT problem, but you could take a multisnapshot to find out what the original install is doing.
Just install the repackaged app, take a first snaphot, install the original and then take the 2nd snapshot.
