MSI problems

Hi people!!!

I am experiencing some problems with creating MSI files. Whenever i try to make a MSI file with software like Mcafee Antivirus 7.4.1 or Norton Antivirus 2004 everything runs smooth at first. I make the snapshots, let Adminstudio create the package and then make a MSI of it.

The problem is, when i deploy the MSI, the files are copied correctly and the register is edited, but the software doesnt work. The icon that the antivirus software is active is present but for example when i try to scan files, it says the appropiate files does not exist... Does anybody know why this problem occurs...??

The McAfee install executable for ver 7.0.2 just extracts a folder
of which is an msi and needed files to the program files directory

why not just create a mst for that msi , it would be easier

How can i get the MSI file out of the installation? I cant edit the setup.exe, how can i look where the setup puts the MSI file?

You either do an admin install of the setup.exe using the /a switch to uncompress the files or start the install then grab the MSI from the %temp% location.
