Dreamweaver 8 Repackaging Problem

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this repackaging stuff so please go easy 😉

I have had some success in creating packages but am currently having problems repackaging Macromedia Dreamweaver 8. I am using the repacking wizard from Admin Studio 6 Pro Edition mapped from a network drive.

The package creates the MSI (with some ICE33 warnings) and I can install it. But when I run it I get an error message

Unable to Locate Component
The application failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

When I do a search for this file it is found in the following places

C:\Packages\PROGRAMFILESFOLDER\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8
C:\Packages\PROGRAMFILESFOLDER\Macromedia\Extension Manager

I'm using Win XP SP2.

msvcr71.dll is part of the MS C runtime Lib Merge Module. Make sure you have that linked to the application (in redistibutables from Editor), and verify where it's going. That should take care of this...
