Creating a file with [ProductName] as the file name

I am trying to create a file that is created on installation. I DO NOT want to use VBscript or InstallScript.

Basically, I am using the INI File Changes to create a file with the name: [ProductName]-[ProductVersion]-[ARPCOMMENTS]. log
This file will contain the the name above.

The file is created as [ProductName]-[ProductVersion]-[ARPCOMMENTS]. log
with the contents reading My Application-5.32-my comments .

Can a file be created with [Properties] in the name without using scripting?

Any help would be appreciative.

After a cursory research for confirmation, the answer is unfortunately no.

Why are you so against using VBScript or Installscript ?

Using either, you could store the values in a property and accomplish what you are needing...

VBscript is preferred. The employer does not want to manage InstallScript installations and versions
