Hi geets, As you mentioned "We have a few utility classes written using java(e.g. a.jar), which again depend on a few jar files (e.g. k.jar, l.jar, x.jar, y.jar, z.jar)." So i suggested including the dependencies as per 1.png. The Trick here is to include only the Jars which your custom code class is dependent on and not all. Please let me know if this is working fine! Hope this Helps! Thanks, Madhav Pai

Hi caalip, Can you come more clear on your requirement. If you actually meant "Can install logs be customized?" then it cannot be. It is for the installer default actions to dump the status and related information into. Hope this Helps! Thanks, Madhav pai

Hi, Please let me know whether you have configured as per the screenshot provided (1.png) The Alternative is to navigate to Project-->JVM Settings-->Installer Settings -->Additional Classpath settings (2.png) One thing we need to remember here is relative path should be given w.r.t $EXTRACTOR_DIR$ i.e the place where your install.exe or install.bin resides. Hope his Helps! Thanks, Madhav pai

Hi ashw_r, InstallAnywhere does not provide a Standalone Uninstaller. Uninstaller gets installed as a part of installation itself. Thanks, Madhav Pai

Hi geetcs, Is a.jar and b.jar dependent on each other if so then u have to include the one which is dependent on other in the dependency section or also can try "Additional Classpath" If Possible can u share us some more information which depicts your scenario. Thanks, Madhav Pai

Hi pasamy, Any Service which Installanywhere either creates or Runs/Stops does not have a shutdown hook associated with it. The alternative is that u can add windows Restart action wherever it should be applicable as per your requirement and Set rules to perform at certain conditions. Hope this Helps! Thanks, Madhav Pai

Hi, "Set Windows Registry" will set the registry entries to location specified by you during installation and correspondingly remove the registry entries when the product you have installed is uninstalled. Hope this Helps! Thanks, Madhav Pai

Hi, I Will assume that your jars are pre-copied to Target machine which runs your installater ,say /root/depjars or C:/depjars One thing we need to remember here is relative path should be given w.r.t $EXTRACTOR_DIR$ $EXTRACTOR_DIR$ always points to the installer which will be built i.e for ex if i name my project as "sample" $EXTRACTOR_DIR$ will be point to C:/sample/sample_Build_output/Default_configuration/Instdata/Windows/VM/install.exe So now My classpath reference becomes ../../../../../../depjars/ant.jar 1. Add your custom code action(And Include your custom cod.jar) at pre-install 2. Now,Navigate to Project-->JVM Settings-->Installer Settings and in the additional classpath add the "../../../../../../depjars/ant.jar" if your depedency.jar is located say in either C:\depsjar or /root/depsjar. Hope this Helps? Thanks, Madhav Pai

Hi Zeeshan, As i learned from your issue that registering a .dll file would require admin privileges and Installanywhere Standard edition does not elevate its installation as admin in case your installation requires some super privileges. But this feature(plus lot more) is a part of Installanywhere Enterprise. I would strongly recommend you to upgrade to Enterprise (latest being IA 2011 SP3) to avail all the features as per your requirement. Hope this Helps! Thanks, Madhav Pai
