Request your assistance in identifying the location of the folder where the newly created or customized reports and dashboards in IBM Cognos are stored. This information is critical to us, as we have recently upgraded our Cognos software to the latest version, and we have noticed that our previous customized reports and dashboards are no longer visible in the Cognos user interface. We believe that it may be possible to retrieve these reports and dashboards from a backup snapshot taken by our technical team prior to the upgrade. However, we are unable to locate the exact folder or file that contains the saved reports and dashboards. Therefore, we kindly request your assistance in providing us with the necessary details, namely, the location and name of the folder where the newly created or previously saved customized reports and dashboards are stored . I have reviewed the documentation for the SAM Optimization Hub and the associated optimization reports, and I have a question regarding user access. I understand that each optimization report is restricted to the user's access level, which limits the information displayed to only the computers and licenses that the user is permitted to view. However, I would like to know how I can grant a power user unrestricted access to all VMs, cost centers, licenses, and other relevant data, to allow them to view the optimization data. Is there a specific process or procedure that needs to be followed to grant such access? Alternatively, are there any limitations or considerations that I should be aware of before granting unrestricted access to a user? Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

I seek assistance with an issue currently being experienced by one of our power users. Specifically, this user is unable to access the SAM Optimization hub tab in our system, and I have been unable to identify the necessary permissions required to address this matter. I am kindly requesting your support in identifying the appropriate permissions required to enable access to this feature. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. After thorough investigation, I have identified that none of my rules have resulted in task failure errors due to incorrect beacon executing rule to a vCenter subnet. However, I have noticed that only this specific IBM Pvu rule is causing an issue where a beacon that is not a part of the subnet is executing the rule in a vCenter of that subnet.

I would like to express my appreciation for your prompt and detailed response. However, I am currently facing an issue with this rule where it is targeting vCenters from different beacons even though those beacons are not assigned to the subnet of the vCenters. This has caused a lot of confusion and errors keep poping up in system task.

I have noticed a rule named 'Virtual Cluster Server Scan for IBM' in the beacon rule list. However, upon checking the discovery and inventory rules in the FNMS portal, I could not find the same rule listed. I would appreciate it if you could kindly provide insight into the reason for this discrepancy.

I have recently upgraded to FNMS 2022 R2 and made the necessary changes to the SAML to sustainsys.saml2 in webui.config . I am pleased to inform you that after the configuration, it is currently working fine with Okta. However, we are currently encountering issues with IBM Cognos SSO. Unfortunately, the documentation regarding this matter is not very clear, making it difficult for us to troubleshoot the issue effectively. I was hoping that someone could provide us with guidance on the SSO flow specifically for IBM Cognos. Currently, the SAML request for Cognos is being initiated by the FNMS, and the SAML response is also consumed by FNMS. Afterward, it is redirecting to FNMS itself. Moreover, we have noticed that the Assertion URL generated by FNMS for Cognos is different. We would appreciate it if someone could provide us with more clarity on the flow to assist us in troubleshooting.

Following a recent upgrade of FNMS from 2020 R2 to 2022 R2, we have encountered issues with our Octa integration. It has come to our attention that Flexera has switched the SAML library from KentAuthService to Sustain.Saml2, resulting in the disruption of our integration. We have taken the necessary steps to address this issue by providing all the relevant details in the SustainSys.Saml2 section and updating the Config WebUI. However, upon accessing FNMS, we are being redirected to Octa and receiving a SAML response. Unfortunately, FNMS is reporting that the returned SAML response contains some mismatched data, but it is not explicitly stating the exact nature of the mismatch. At this time, I am experiencing difficulties in identifying the exact cause of the mismatch. The error showing up in the webui log Request afbb9677-ac93-4df1-a823-d4a7bc8001c9 failed referrer validation (reason: host and referrer URLs have mismatched scheme/host/port details). Host: 'https://sam.blahblah.ae/' Referrer/Origin: 'https://blahblah.okta.com/' If the request is proxied through a load balancer that is terminating SSL connections, make sure it is setting the X-Forwarded-Proto header to 'https' OR the Front-End-Https header is set to 'on'

After upgrading from Flexera Manager Suite 2020 R2 to Flexera Manager Suite 2022 R2, we are facing authentication issues. The attribute details from the Kentor.autherservices section have been copied and pasted into the sustainsys.saml2 section. However, the issue persists. We want to remove non reporting Servers over 30 days from FNMS. We also want to remove non reporting Workstation over 90 Days from FNMS. Is there any script available for the above action ? We are using FNMS 2022 R2

Our client have tableau Server 8 Core license. The server hosting the tableau is now having 8 Core CPU. If they upgrade the server Cpu cores to 16, Will it become non compliant?
